129 Knots, VIDA and Sing Fuels

During my tenure at Sing Fuels, an Enterprise 50  Singaporean Global Energy Trading company. I worked on a group level for it’s sister companies 129 Knots and VIDA as well but keeping a bigger focus on 129 Knots.

129 Knots:
Digital platform for Energy Trading & related Investment Management; 129 Knots.

VIDA:
Telecommunications and tech products.

129 Knots Logo and Name

The name 1.29°N holds a strong connection to Singapore, representing its latitude and the nation's role as a global leader in marine energy trading. It encapsulates the vision of being a transformative force in the industry, building a lasting legacy.

Concept 1: 
It conveys speed and precision, essential traits of a platform that streamlines marine energy trading “at the tip of your fingers”. Its design draws inspiration from the motion of a smartphone screen lock, forming the numeric sequence.

Concept 2 (finalised):
It highlights interconnectedness, symbolised by circular tokens forming a knot—a nod to "knot," a unit of speed in maritime terminology. This design represents the swift connection of elements, embodying trust and strength, ideal for the blockchain industry.

The idea was to creatively showcased 129 Knots as a cutting-edge tech platform. This marked my first experience in this industry hence, It was an exciting challenge to familiarise myself with the product and understand how to engage the target audience with visuals that resonate with them.
